Managing Director of Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA)
Peter Clever studied Economics, Political Science and Sociology at the Universtiy of Cologne. In 1979, he was appointed Assistant to Norbert Blüm, Member of the German Bundestag. Up through 1984, he also held the positions of Office Manager and Spokesman of the CDU/CSU Party of the Federal German Parliament, worked in the Senate Administration of Federal Affairs of the city of Berlin as well as the Federal Ministry for Work and Social Order (BMA).
Between 1985 amd 1998, he was head of three departements ot the BMA: International Social Policy, Employment and Integration of Foreign Workers and Labor Market Policy/Unemployment Insurance.
In November 20136, he was appointed Member of the Executive Board of the Confederation of German Employer’s Associations (BDA). In this position Mr. Clever was responsible for the departments Labor Market, International Realtions and Education/Vocational Training.
